Raven’s Point

Raven’s Point is another dungeon that is visited as part of the Eye of the North Norn storyline. Once completed it is available as a repeatable dungeon, giving you the chance to go up against the Destroyers again and smack them around a bit more.

Travel northwest from Olafstead in Varajar Fells. On the way you will come across the Norn Olrun Olafdottir - you must talk to her to get the quest Defending the Breach. Without this quest active you will not be able to fully explore the Raven’s Point dungeon.

Spread across three levels, Raven’s Point contains lots of Destroyers, along with demonic creatures like Dryders, Elementals, Nightmares, and Dredges. Minion Masters can be useful, although with the number of Nightmares and Elementals they can sometimes run out of corpses.

With the high resistance to fire damage, Elementalists will want to use Water, Earth or Air skills against the Destroyers.

The Light of Deldrimor will reveal:

  • Level 1:
    • Dwarven Ghost near the eastern Area Map
    • Dwarven Ghost near the central Beacon of Droknar
    • Hidden Treasure, next to the Flame Brazier north of the previous Beacon of Droknar
    • Dwarven Ghost near the western Area Map
    • Hidden Treasure, next to the Flame Brazier near the dungeon key room’s door
  • Level 2:
    • Hidden Treasure, at the ice bridge east of the Area Map
    • Hidden Treasure, north-east of the Area Map
    • Hidden Treasure, just very slightly to the east of the Area Map, in the room with the broken bridge.
    • Dwarven Ghost in the room east of the large group of NPC dwarves where the destroyers appear.
  • Level 3:
    • There are 2 or 3 Hidden Treasures on this floor, but I’ve yet to find them. Killing the end boss but not opening the chest will not start the completed mission timer, giving you time to explore

Once the Plague of Destruction has been defeated, a Destroyer Chest will spawn, giving one of the following items to each player:

  • Warrior Destructive Blade (unique green item)
  • Warrior Destructive Shield (unique green item)
  • Necromancer Destructive Focus (unique green item)
  • Aureate Blade (gold item)
  • Wingcrest Maul (gold item)
  • Diamond (rare crafting material)
  • Onyx Gemstone (rare crafting material)
  • A Gaki Polymock Piece

You will also gain 1500 Norn Reputation Points the first time you complete the Raven’s Point dungeon (2250 in Hard Mode) and 200 Norn Reputation Points each subsequent time (300 in Hard Mode).

My main character in Guild Wars: Eye of the North, Laurana the Foxy, is a fire Elementalist, so I always find the Destroyers a bit of a challenge. Raven’s Point can be completed with Henchmen and Heroes, and I find Herta the Earth Elementalist is always useful to have along - her wards come in very handy when dealing with Destroyers. Interrupt Rangers are also useful additions to your party.
