More Charr hunting - Rragar’s Menagerie
Rragar’s Menagerie has to be one of my favourite Eye of the North dungeons. Packed with Charr, this three level repeatable dungeon is the perfect place for some Charr payback. For Prince Rurik and Ascalon!

To make things really bizarre, I make sure I have Pyre Fierceshot in my party, as an Interrupt Ranger. If you want to fully explore Rragar’s Menagerie, you’ll need to talk to the Charr Gron Fierceclaw in Doomlore Shrine, and get the quest Veiled Threat.
To get to Rrager’s Menagerie, leave Doomlore Shrine and head south east through Dalada Uplands until you reach Sacnoth Valley. Head through the portal, and then travel in a south westerly direction across Sacnoth Valley - you’ll find the dungeon entrance in the far south west corner.

The dungeon and quest are pretty straightforward - journey through the dungeon, give the Charr a kicking, wipe out any other monsters, and defeat Rragar himself. Things get a bit more complicated, though, with lots of Ooze spawn points. You’ll also find that Rragar has been breeding Fleshreavers, and training them to fight alongside the Charr.
With lots of Charr there are is a steady supply of corpses to keep your Minion Masters happy. Displaying the Ebon Vanguard title will give you the Rebel Yell bonus, giving extra protection from Charr attacks and a nice energy boost each time you kill a Charr.
There are a number of Light of Deldrimor rewards to be picked up:
- Level 1:
- Dwarven Ghost on the path to the area map
- Dwarven Ghost in the middle of the Charr that have the dungeon key
- Near the second Dwarven Powder Keg station is a cracked wall. Blow your way through this to travel to a secret passage with another Dwarven Ghost
- Level 2:
- Hidden Treasure by Beastmaster Korg
- another Hidden Treasure will sometimes spawn once you’ve killed him
- Level 3:
- Just south of where you start is a Secret Switch. This opens up a secret passage with three Hidden Treasures and a Dwarven Ghost
- There’s another Hidden Treasure in the southern cavern that contains two necromancer bosses
Once Rragar and his Fleshreaver sidekick Hidesplitter have been defeated, Hidesplitter’s Chest appears. This will spawn one of the following items for each player:
- Warrior Hidesplitter’s Shield (unique green item)
- Assassin Hidesplitter’s Daggers (unique green item)
- Paragon Hidesplitter’s Spear (unique green item)
- Monk The Maneater (unique green item)
- goldhorn Staff (gold item)
- Diamond (rare crafting material)
- Onyx Gemstone (rare crafting material)
- A Ruby Djinn Polymock Piece
Once you complete the dungeon and collect your mission reward, you’ll gain 3000 Ebon Vanguard reputation points (4500 in Hard Mode).
Rragar’s Menagerie is another Master Level dungeon in Eye of the North. The number of enemies and their high level makes it a fun challenge, and being a repeatable dungeon means you can really hone your Charr-smackdown skills.
