Elite skills for your Monk
Monks get a good range of Elite skills in Eye of the North, covering all of their attributes. The excellent Word of Healing is a key Elite skill that no Hero should be without.
Divine Favor
Withdraw Hexes
Remove all Hexes from target ally and all adjacent allies. This Spell takes an additional 20…8 seconds to recharge for each Hex removed in this way.
Withdraw Hexes can be obtained from:
- Kaykitt Hidemender (Verdant Cascades)
Healing Prayers
Healing Light
Heal target ally for 40…88 Health. If your target has an Enchantment, you gain 1…3 Energy.
Healing Light can be obtained from:
- Elmohr Snowmender (during the quest Blood Washes Blood)
Word of Healing
Heal target ally for 5…105 Health. Heal for an additional 15…83 Health if that ally is below 50% Health.
Word of Healing can be obtained from:
- Flannuss Broadwing (Arbor Bay)
Protection Prayers
Life Sheath
For the next 20 seconds, the next 30…126 damage target ally would take is negated.
Life Sheath can be obtained from:
- Chaelse Flameshielder (Grothmar Wardowns, after Warband of Brothers)
Shield of Regeneration
For 5…11 seconds, target ally gains 3…9 Health regeneration and 40 armor.
Shield of Regeneration can be obtained from:
- Horai Wingshielder (Dalada Uplands)
- Facet of Existence (Riven Earth, during The Cipher of Dwayna)
- Facet of Existence (Varajar Fells, during The Path to Revelations)
Smiting Prayers
Ray of Judgement
All your skills except Smiting Prayers are disabled for 10 seconds. Target foe and adjacent foes take 30…90 holy damage. Animated undead struck by Ray of Judgement are set on fire for 3…8 seconds.

Word of Healing is one of the best Elite skills for a monk in Guild Wars - try kitting out one of your Monk heroes with a WoH build. You’ll find it incredibly effective, and with the right runes a single WoH Monk can support an entire party of Heroes and henchmen.
