Deldrimor Focus

Focus items in Guild Wars are called ‘off-hand’ items. This is because your character carries them in their spare hand – their right hand wielding a weapon of some sort. Clearly this poses problems if you have a two handed weapon, which is why characters using weapons like hammers, staves, etc. can’t use a focus item. Even if it is equipped, it’s automatically disabled when selecting a two handed weapon, and any focus bonuses won’t apply.

Guild Wars Deldrimor Focus

Given Deldrimor items have been crafted by the Dwarves, it’s fitting that the Deldrimor Focus is a dwarven ale mug. Raise a toast to King Jalis Ironhammer!

There are versions of the Deldrimor Focus for each caster attribute type – giving a total of 21 different variations. The Deldrimor Focus grants +12 Energy (required 9 attribute points in the primary attribute) and +30 Health. It also has a 20% of halving the skill recharge time of primary attribute skills.

So, if you had a fire Deldrimor Focus, it would grant +12 Energy, have a 20% chance of halving the skill recharge time of Fire skills, and require 9 points for the Fire attribute.

As you can see, the stats on the Deldrimor Focus make it an excellent match for the Deldrimor Scepter. Using both together will grant the maximum amount of bonuses possible for the chosen attribute, and wielding items this way is one of the most effective tactics to supplement a good build.

A Deldrimor Focus can be crafted by giving a Deldrimor Talisman to the following unique crafters in Droknar’s Forge:

  • Guild Wars monk Artisan of Light Deldrimor Talisman Artisan of Light
  • Guild Wars necromancer Artisan of Death Deldrimor Talisman Artisan of Death
  • Guild Wars mesmer Artisan of Illusion Deldrimor Talisman Artisan of Illusion
  • Guild Wars elementalist Artisan of Elements Deldrimor Talisman Artisan of Elements
  • Guild Wars ritualist Artisan of Spirits Deldrimor Talisman Artisan of Spirits

As with the Deldrimor Scepter, you’ll need to choose the right Artisan to talk to, depending on the attributes you want in your Deldrimor Focus. So, my Elementalist would need to talk to the Artisan of Elements in Droknar’s Forge, and then select a Deldrimor Focus of Fire.
