Deldrimor Staff

Guild Wars Prophecies Deldrimor Staff

The third special new Deldrimor item in Guild Wars that we’re looking at is the Deldrimor Staff. A two handed weapon for casters, Staves combine the properties of both a wand and a focus item. At least, the good ones do.

The Deldrimor Staff is essentially a combination of the bonuses from the Deldrimor Focus and Deldrimor Scepter. Wielding a wand and a focus item gives the caster more options in terms of bonuses, cool looking items, etc. but there’s always something a bit bad-arse about wading into battle wielding a big two-handed staff.

The Deldrimor Staff gives the following bonuses:

  • +10 Energy
  • 11-22 attribute damage (requires 9 Attribute points)
  • Halves skill recharge time (20% chance)
  • +5 Energy whilst Health is above 50%
  • +60 Health

So, if my Elementalist was wielding a Fire Deldrimor Staff, she’d need at least 9 Fire Attribute points to gain any of the bonuses, and it would do 11-22 Fire damage.

A Deldrimor Staff can be crafted by giving a Deldrimor Talisman to the following unique crafters in Droknar’s Forge:

  • Guild Wars monk Artisan of Light Deldrimor Talisman Artisan of Light
  • Guild Wars necromancer Artisan of Death Deldrimor Talisman Artisan of Death
  • Guild Wars mesmer Artisan of Illusion Deldrimor Talisman Artisan of Illusion
  • Guild Wars elementalist Artisan of Elements Deldrimor Talisman Artisan of Elements
  • Guild Wars ritualist Artisan of Spirits Deldrimor Talisman Artisan of Spirits

Personally I prefer single handed items, as that allows me more freedom in mixing and matching my gear. Having said that, the Deldrimor Staff has ‘perfect’ bonuses – ie. they are the maximum possible bonuses that can be granted from a weapon – so it’s a pretty powerful unique item.
