Elite Skills for your Necromancer
With several skills from each attribute group, Necromancers have a wide range of Elite Skills to capture from bosses in Guild Wars Eye of the North. Along with the excellent Jagged Bones (Minion Masters take note!) there are some great skills for transferring conditions – pretty much something for every type of Necromancer build.
Blood Magic
Life Transfer
For 6…11 seconds, target foe suffers Health degeneration of 3…7, which you gain as Health regeneration.
Life Transfer can be obtained from:
- Tanto the Grim (Varajar Fells, only during Haunted)
- Katye Bloodburner (Sacnoth Valley)
- The Keeper (Cathedral of Flames)
Soul Leech
For 10 seconds, whenever target foe casts a Spell, you steal up to 16…67 Health from that foe.
Soul Leech can be obtained from:
- Flesh of Destruction (Glint’s Challenge, in Central Transfer Chamber)
Curses
Corrupt Enchantment
Remove one Enchantment from target foe. If an Enchantment is removed in this way, that foe suffers -1…7 Health degeneration for 10 seconds.
Corrupt Enchantment can be obtained from:
- Murakai’s Steward (Cathedral of Flames, Level 3)
Plague Signet
Transfer all negative Conditions with their remaining durations lengthened by 100…180% from yourself to target foe. (50% failure chance with curses 4 or less.)
Plague Signet can be obtained from:
- Bredyss Longstride (Magus Stones)
Death Magic
Jagged Bones
For 30 seconds, whenever target undead servant dies, it is replaced by a level 0…12 Jagged Horror that causes Bleeding with each of its attacks.
Jagged Bones can be obtained from:
- Avarr the Fallen (Jaga Moraine)
- The Master (Cathedral of Flames level 2)
- Taskmaster Nard (Battledepths), during Attack on Jalis’s Camp)
- Taskmaster Bellok (Vloxen Excavations level 2)
Toxic Chill
Target foe is struck for 15…63 cold damage. If that foe is under the effects of a Hex or Enchantment, that foe becomes Poisoned for 10…22 seconds.
Toxic Chill can be obtained from:
- Jacado the Putrid (Heart of the Shiverpeaks)
- Flesheater (Rragar’s Menagerie)
Virulence
If target foe was already suffering from a Condition, that foe suffers from Disease, Poison, and Weakness for 3…13 seconds.
Virulence can be obtained from:
- Jacado the Putrid (Heart of the Shiverpeaks)
Soul Reaping
Reaper’s Mark
For 30 seconds, target foe suffers -1…4 Health degeneration. If that foe dies while Hexed with Reaper’s Mark, you gain 5…13 Energy.
Reaper’s Mark can be obtained from:
- Vyrrgis the Pestilent (Sacnoth Valley, during Single Ugly Grawl Seeks Same for Mindless Destruction in Ascalon)
- Rend Ragemauler (Sacnoth Valley, during The Assassin’s Revenge)
Jagged Bones is a particularly excellent Elite Skill, and any self respecting Minion Master should be stacking it with Animate Shambling Horror, creating two Jagged Horrors when each Shambling Horror dies. The constant bleeding from their attacks means you can quickly build a devastating pack of minions – ideal for clearing out some of the more corpse-rich dungeons in Eye of the North.
